Garbage Bin Comics Box Set

Many of us have been following nostalgic comic strip on Facebook and Instagram by Faisal Ahmed titled as Garbage Bin.

For sometime GBC (Garbage Bin Comics) has started to bring out print version of strip in Comics format. Till now 5 issues are published.

Just before this new year GBC has come out with comics box set.



I ordered a box set priced at 750/-  and this is worth every paisa. 5 comics, 1 calendar, 5 stickers and very sturdy comics box. On top of it all free delivery. 

This the best deal one can get. If convert 750/- to dollars it amounts to $10.2 
I wonder, if he is able to get any profit from this venture? Or its pure passion and love of comics??

Nonetheless, readers are not complaining. Infact, I am really happy somebody has guts to follow the dreams and do good for comics lovers.

Unique features:
  • The language of comics is Hindi but script is Roman. I guess it's a conscious choice to reach new age audience who use Hindi sans Devanagari.
  • เคชเคฐ เคฒेเค–เค• เค•ा เคชเคฐिเคšเคฏ เคฆेเคตเคจाเค—เคฐी เคนिเคจ्เคฆी เคฎे เคฒिเค–ा เค—เคฏा เคนै।
  • Paper and printing quality of the comics is decent.
  • Quality of comics box and calendar is topnotch.
  • Covid-19 safety tip sticker on the outer packaging was well thought and shows that the author cares about his readers.
  • Stickers inside the comics are a bonus of cuteness.
A brief background about the comic strip for those who are new to Garbage Bin Comics:

This strip tells it's story and gags thorugh a cartoon character of a child called Guddu, set in 80s India.
Guddu and his family represents a middle class Indian life of that time and takes us to our childhood days.
Gags around school and muhulla friends of Guddu are real salt of the strip.

1st impression of Awesomic Big Road Blocked experience!

There is a new age (as claimed by them) design platform or service called awesomic.com  (I got to know about them via daryl ginn's portal: Godly Job Board) for my surprise this web platform is financially backed by Y combinator  I had a big bad experience with the so called new age design service enablers. They showoff so much in visual design and copywriting but beneath the skin it's a pretty bad experience for the visiting talent or candidates.  "Initially, I was so thrilled that finally I discovered such a useful service where... there is a chance to get some interesting freelance work without too much of hassle. " So, I set out to explore the platform visually and by the copywriting it looked desirable so I made my mind to register in the talent section.
